Overview
The 7-Day Ultimate Tanzania Discovery is the gold standard for African safaris. This week-long expedition by Uncensored Tours and Safari Limited offers an unhurried, deep exploration of Tanzania’s most iconic landscapes. Description
This 7-day itinerary transitions from the diverse foothills of the Northern Highlands into the heart of the wild. By spending three nights in the Serengeti, you gain the flexibility to follow the wildlife wherever they move, increasing your chances of witnessing a predator hunt or a river crossing. We combine high-action game drives with moments of serene beauty, such as sunsets over the Ngorongoro Crater rim and the pink-hued shores of Lake Manyara. This is more than a tour; it is a complete immersion into the rhythm of the African bush.

Accommodation: Safari Lodge in Tarangire/Karatu
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
After breakfast, we head to Lake Manyara, a boutique park famous for its tree-climbing lions and massive troops of baboons. The groundwater forest provides a cool, lush contrast to the savannahs. We enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the soda lake.
Accommodation: Lodge/Tented Camp in Karatu
Meals: Full Board
We travel through the Ngorongoro Highlands, stopping at the “Gate of the Serengeti” for photos. Our first game drive in the Serengeti begins as we descend into the Central plains, a year-round hotspot for leopards and prides of lions.
Accommodation: Luxury Tented Camp in Central Serengeti
Meals: Full Board
A full day dedicated to the Seronera Valley. We focus on the “Big Cats” and the resident wildlife that lives along the Retina Hippo Pool. This day allows for a slower pace to observe animal behavior and enjoy the vastness of the plains.
Accommodation: Luxury Tented Camp in Central Serengeti
Meals: Full Board
Depending on the time of year, we move toward the Migration path. Whether it’s the calving season in the South or the river crossings in the North, your guide will use local intel to position you in the heart of the action.
Accommodation: Mobile/Seasonal Tented Camp or Central Serengeti
Meals: Full Board
We enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading back toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We arrive at the crater rim in time for “Sundowners,” watching the clouds roll over the caldera floor.
Accommodation: Crater Rim Lodge or Karatu
Meals: Full Board
We descend early for a 6-hour tour of the Crater floor. This self-contained ecosystem offers the highest density of predators in Africa and your best chance to spot the Black Rhino. After lunch, we drive back to Arusha for your evening flight or hotel drop-off.
